Meet The Doctor

Dr. Gregory Wittpenn created the name New Horizons Plastic Surgery to reflect both a new beginning with the opening of his practice in Nacogdoches, as well as to describe the effect that cosmetic surgery can have for you. We welcome you to our practice.

Education, Training, and Service

Dr. Gregory Wittpenn graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, and received his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of South Florida. He completed residencies in general surgery at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi and in plastic surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He received special training in hand surgery at the prestigious Christine Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky, and fellowship training in pediatric and craniofacial plastic surgery at the world famous Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

Dr. Wittpenn also served 12 years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force. He has received board certification in general surgery, plastic surgery, and hand surgery. Over the course of his career, Dr. Wittpenn has served as head of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. More recently, he served as an assistant professor of surgery for Texas A&M College of Medicine while working with the Scott and White Clinic in College Station.

With over fifteen years of service as a plastic surgeon, Dr. Wittpenn brings his patients a wealth of experience in all areas of plastic surgery. "I have always enjoyed the varied and extensive nature of plastic surgery. The creative nature of our field is what attracted me to plastic surgery in the first place. From the routine removal of facial skin cancers, to the functional reconstruction of hand surgery, to the challenge of reconstructing a child disfigured by a birth defect; all of these skills apply to the rejuvenation sought in cosmetic surgery."

Meet the New Horizons Team

Anessia Miller—Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Coordinator

Anessia works the front desk, schedules appointments, and greets each patient as they enter New Horizons Plastic Surgery. A very friendly and affectionate person, she is the wife of her loving husband, Kendrick Miller. Together they decided to adopt their handsome son, Kendre Miller, and beautiful daughter, Kennedy Miller, to be a part of their lives. The children are little angels sent from God to bless the Miller family. Anessia enjoys helping others and says she wants to spend her life continuing to help others; she feels that is what makes life worth living. Letitia Hairgrove—Scrub Tech/Office Assistant

Letitia Hairgrove is our office patient assistant and scrub tech at New Horizons. Tish, as we call her, has been in the medical field for a number of years. Before joining our office she gained invaluable experience working with another plastic surgeon and at the hospital and surgery center. In addition to her work at our practice, Tish is the loving mother of two beautiful daughters and two handsome sons, and is happily married to Pat Hairgrove. Tish is our little cowgirl and enjoys barrel racing on the weekends.

Cindy Triana—Patient Coordinator

Cindy is our patient coordinator, consulting with patients regarding financial arrangements and handling all insurance claims. Cindy is energetic and greets each New Horizons patient with a smile. She is a self-described "people-person," and her patient care philosophy is simple: treat them like family. Born and raised in Nacogdoches, Cindy has been in the medical field for over 24 years and loves serving her native Nacogdoches community. She enjoys reading, visiting with family and friends, watching movies, and taking walks with her dog, Snapper.
